WHAT ARE FILLERS USED FOR DURING LIP ENHANCEMENT?

WHAT DOES LIP AUGMENTATION FEEL LIKE?

With adequate topical anesthetic, the procedure is well tolerated. Most patients feel the technician gently squeezing the lip, and they can feel the sense of swelling as the lip enhances. Occasionally patients will feel discomfort that requires local anesthetic.

HOW LONG DOES THE LIP AUGMENTATION PROCEDURE TAKE?

The lip augmentation procedure usually takes twenty to thirty minutes, depending on the areas being treated, the volume used, and the technique.

HOW WILL MY LIPS FEEL AFTER LIP AUGMENTATION?

After the lip augmentation procedure, you may experience some mild pain and swelling. This usually lasts a few days and in extremely rare cases, the swelling can persist for one to two weeks.

WHEN WILL I SEE THE RESULTS?

Your lips will be bigger after the procedure because of the swelling and the filler. You will see the results of the filler alone in a few days after the swelling has subsided.

HOW LONG BEFORE I CAN RETURN TO MY NORMAL ACTIVITIES?

You can return to your normal activities almost immediately after lip augmentation, but keep in mind that your lips may still be numb for a few hours and may remain swollen for a few days.

HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?

While results vary from patient to patient, the average duration for filler to the lips is 18 months. Most patients come for re-treatment on an annual basis.
