Precautions to take when visiting a medical practice
- Posted on: Sep 15 2020
During this time, it is incredibly important that everyone work towards containing the pandemic occurring around us. COVID-19 is very real, and it needs to be handled appropriately to ensure that we protect ourselves and our patients against infection. The Coronavirus has changed a lot of our usual activities, including simple visits with a doctor. Elective procedures such as cosmetic surgery needs to be managed in a way that is appropriate, safe, and follows the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control. At the practice of Dr. Kimberly Carpin, patients of the Webster, TX area are welcome to learn about the steps we are taking to ensure the safety of our team and visitors.
Below are some of the precautions we are taking in our practice to make it safe to visit our office:
- Virtual consultations and visits – during this time, Dr. Kimberly Carpin offers both in-office appointments as well as virtual visits. These are conducted through a downloadable app called Symplast and all our patients to have in-home consultations using today’s amazing technologies.
- Enhanced cleaning and sanitation – we are taking COVID-19 seriously. Even though we had thorough sanitation practices before the pandemic, we are taking extra steps to ensure all touched surfaces are sanitized between patients. We work hard to ensure we protect everyone against infection of the Coronavirus, so please be patient when visiting our practice as we work hard to sanitize all areas and rooms between visitors.
- Mask use – we strongly encourage all patients who visit our practice to wear a mask during their appointment. Our entire team is wearing masks for protection as well, and want to help curb the spread of COVID-19 within the office and between our patients.
